Timestamp Camera

Time, place and a note on every photo.

A camera that stamps the time, place and a note on every photo, and signs each one so it can be checked later.

The camera in 16:9, with the date, coordinates, street address and a note stamped at the bottom

Screenshots

  • Stamp layout: blocks for the project, date, place and photo ID placed around the frame, presets below
  • The stamp sheet: the note, the address and the layout, edited before the shot

Captured in the iOS simulator, which has no camera, so the viewfinder shows a test scene.

What it does

  • Works like the iPhone Camera

16:9, 4:3 or square, 0.5×, 1× and 2× lenses, pinch to zoom, tap to focus. A photo is taken only when you press the shutter or a volume button.

  • Time, place and note

Date, time and time zone, coordinates with their accuracy, street address, note and photo ID, burned into a full-resolution photo.

  • Your layout

Long-press the viewfinder to place blocks in nine spots. Start from a preset or save your own style.

  • Proof you can check

Each photo is signed with a key held in the Secure Enclave and added to a hash chain. The proof travels inside the file and can be checked in the app.
